All too often while going through the daily happenings of life, I keep Jesus in my closet, clean and, well, stored away. Taking Him out for Bible Study, Church, Ministry...as if He doesn't relate to every single part of life. But that's not true, and not how I should live!
According to Romans 13:14 we should "... clothe [our]selves with the Lord Jesus Christ..."
The word "clothe" in the original greek is "enduo" meaning to clothe or be clothed with, in the sense of sinking into a garment.
We shouldn’t wear Jesus rarely- like a special occasion outfit or accessorized- as a scarf, treasured necklace, favorite pair of jeans or even a unique fragrance.
No, Jesus should be like an all-encompassing overcoat that we sink into ~immerse ourselves in. That way, we’ll be completely covered up in Him, and others will know, unmistakably, who we’re into.
How are you putting Jesus on?
(Thanks goes to Todd, for getting me thinking!)
